My wife got Cara's Caprese, which was served with tomato slices and about 1/4 of the tomato was still green and not ripe! I would NOT recommend staying here at prices they charge and frankly the food at Edgar's was a huge disappointment. 4069 Route 14 South Belhurst Castle, Geneva, NY 14456 +1 31 Website Menu. Also asparagus in butter and lemon sauce, which was some of the most bitter asparagus I'd ever had anywhere. 1,152 reviews 1 of 60 Restaurants in Geneva - American Vegetarian Friendly Vegan Options. With a stunning view of Seneca Lake, century-old trees dotting the. I rec'd shrimp cocktail, which was standard fare pretty much anywhere. Belhurst Castle is one of the oldest and most elegant wedding venues in the Finger Lakes. The food in Edgar's left a good bit to be desired. The food at the Stonecutters was excellent, we ate there twice. I will say the staff was friendly, both for the hotel, the winery and in the restaurants.

For $325 a night I expected much more than what we got. Condiment packs for coffee/tea must have been very old as the powdered creamer was caked solid in 2 out of 3.

The TV didn't work initially and then they could only get regular tv stations, (no movie channels, etc.). While the room was tidy, there was hair trimmings in the bathroom on the floor in front of the shower, there was dust on the headboard of the bed that you could actually write in, the bed had a bedspread wadded up at the foot of the bed. My wife and I rented a room for 2 evenings at Belhurst. Because of THEM and their great descriptions of the wines, we did buy 5 bottles to dry in real wine glasses. Zoe and Lynn were very knowledgeable of the wines and we were happy about that. On a positive note, the servers we had were Zoe and Lynn and they were very good at explaining the tastes of the wines to us, which was good because the plastic cups didn't help with the tastes. But we paid for a flight and it was exactly the same as the complimentary wine tasting pours - very little. I get the complimentary wine tasting being such little pours because they are for free. A wine "flight" is supposed to be bigger pours of wine and we didn't mind paying for that. a flight and not single poured glasses.) Speaking of glasses, we've never been to a wine or flight tasting that used plastic cups - even with covid! So disappointing and such a disservice to tasters! And what tiny pours they gave - also very disappointing. My husband and I stayed at the castle for a few days and we were really looking forward to the Wine Tasting, so much so that when we arrived, instead of doing the complimentary "wine tasting," we ordered and paid for a tasting "flight." We wanted to take the flight of wines outside with us and enjoy the scenery with the wine tasting! (We've done flight tastings before and what we were hoping to get was all the glasses at once.
